BSY changes his name before oath-taking ceremony

Days after HD Kumaraswamy resigned as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, state BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister at 6 pm today.

Bengaluru:After the collapse of HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government in Karnataka, BJP state President B S Yeddyurappa in the hope of good luck has officially changed his name to 'Yediyurappa.'

BS Yediyurappa's letter to the Governor

According to his social media handle and a letter written to the state Governor, BS Yeddyurappa has dropped a ‘D’ and included an ‘I’ in his name.

The CM-designate, known to be a believer of horoscopes, had earlier changed his name in 2007.
