Bengaluru Police to return vehicles seized during lockdown

The Bengaluru police have decided to return the vehicles seized during the lockdown. Bengaluru police seized over 47,600 vehicles since the lockdown was announced on March 30. The police said that the documents will be verified and the vehicles seized first will be released first.

Bengaluru (Karnataka):Owners of seized vehicles can now heave a sigh of relief as Bengaluru police began the process of releasing vehicles seized during the lockdown.

Since the lockdown was announced on March 30, Bengaluru police seized over 47,600 vehicles that were plying on roads without passes or valid reasons. These seized vehicles include cars, autorickshaws and two-wheelers.

After the direction by the high court, police have decided to return the seized vehicles to their owners if they provide the proper documents.

The police said that the documents will be verified and the vehicles seized first will be released first.
