Belagavi Horticulture department to sell plants online, first-ever initiative in the state

Belagavi Horticulture department has decided to sell plants online via the 'www.raitanamitrabelagavi.in' website. The farmers can now book the plants online. The department has set a target of selling 3000 plants.

Chikodi(Karnataka):Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, the Karnataka government has come up with the idea of selling plants online to the farmers. This is done with the intention to promote social distancing.

Belagavi Horticulture department is the first to take an initiative to sell plants online. The varieties include mango, Sapota, coconut, Lemon, Curry leaves, and many others.

Meanwhile, the department has set a target of selling 3000 plants.
