Ranebennuru: Ahead of the crucial Karnataka Assembly bypolls, I-T and excise sleuths conducted a raid at Congress candidate KB Koliwad's residence in Ranebennuru late on Tuesday night.
According to reports, IT and excise officials arrived at Koliwad's residence in Vageesh colony at around 10 pm on Tuesday night and carried out the raid for close to one hour.
The raid was reportedly conducted on a public complaint that Rs 10 crore and illegal liquor was stored at his Koliwad's residence. However, the officers reportedly returned empty-handed as they did not find any unaccounted cash at Koliwad's residence, who is contesting on a Congress ticket from Ranebennuru in the December 5 bypolls.
