Tumakuru (Karnataka):As many as 73 students in Karnataka's Tumakuru district have tested positive for Covid-19 after schools reopened on September 6. Of these, 39 are girls and the remaining, boys.
Dr. Nagendrappa, District Health Officer(DHO), said these students have been quarantined and given medical treatment. He said there was a possibility that students would opt out of schools fearing the infection and added that it was difficult to determine where the infection would spread to the other healthy students. Sources said schools were reopened in districts where the test positivity rate is low.
