Chamarajanagara(Karanataka):A 33-year-old blind woman, Gouramma from the Kabbahalli village of Gundlupet taluk in the District has appeared for the SSLC exam and wishes to score passing marks.
Gouramma, who always wanted to study and gain knowledge, lost her vision in 9th standard for which she was bullied by her classmates. Following which, she stopped attending school. But after one and a half year, Mobility India Organisation came to know about her situation and took her to Bengaluru to educate her.
While in the organization, Gouramma realised that blind people can also study. The organization educate Gouramma through Braille system and make her practice to walk without taking any help from others.
Later, the organization set up a job for her in the Garment sector near her village.
