Bengaluru(Karnataka):The Karnataka Central Crime Branch (CCB) has seized 31 Bitcoins worth Rs 9 crores from a 25-year-old hacker, Srikrishna alias Shreeki on Friday.
The Central Crime Branch has arrested Shreeki, who allegedly hacked websites to steal data and money and convert them into bitcoins. According to the police, he used the bitcoins to purchase drugs from the darknet. According to the reports, he carried out ransomware attacks which decrypts the data and demand payment from the website owners for the site to be unlocked.
The CCB police have seized 31 Bitcoins worth Rs 9 Crores from him.
Who is Shreeki?
The young man SriKrishna alias Shreeki, a resident of Bengaluru, graduated in computer science from a college in Amsterdam in the Netherlands in the year 2017. He has good knowledge of computers and the internet. He moved to Netherland, after the completion of the PUC in Bengaluru.
