Many Covid-19 home isolation deaths in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The number of deaths of Covid-19 patients in home isolation in the second wave of Covid-19 in Bengaluru city is shocking. According to statistics from the Department of Health, as of May 21, 778 people in home isolation have died. As of June 2, the death toll had risen to 1,599 of Covid-19 patients at home.

It is believed that many people have died before they tested and health conditions worsened within a short time. The cause of death in home isolation is blamed on inadequate medical advice and medication.

There are 1,17,340 active cases in the city and only 3,400 patients are currently hospitalized and the remaining 1,13,940 people are in home isolation. There is a shortage of staff at the Department of Health and Municipal Corporation to monitor the health of Covid-19 patients in home isolation.
