New Delhi:BJP MP from Jharkhand Sanjay Seth on Tuesday met with Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Arjun Ram Menghwal, and demanded that the leaseholders at Ranchi's Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) be given ownership rights.
Seth, who represents Ranchi in the Lok Sabha, said that he held a meeting with Meghwal for around 30 minutes at the national capital today, and discussed issues revolving around HEC.
He demanded that the temporary and permanent leaseholder residents at HEC be given ownership rights of their respective houses and shops. He also asked for a pay revision for the HEC employees.
Seth said that Meghwal carefully listened to his demands and assured of all possible help. The MP hoped that his demands are met soon.
On the prevailing COVID-19 situation in Jharkhand, Seth said that the current Hemant Soren government is proving to be a failure in tackling the pandemic, and if the same continues, the state could see over one lakh cases in September alone.
