CM Hemant Soren criticizes central government for arresting Stan Swamy

In the Bhima Koregaon violence case of Maharashtra, NIA had arrested Stan Swamy and since then, the Hemant government as well as some tribal organizations have been opposing it throughout the state.

Palamu:Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has attacked the central government fiercely and said that 'Hitlership' is going on in the country where Tribal, Dalit, minority and people raising their voices are being harassed.

He said social worker Stan Swamy has not only been wrongly arrested, but he is being tortured despite being ill and ageing.

In the Bhima Koregaon violence case of Maharashtra, NIA had arrested Stan Swamy recently. Since then, the Hemant government as well as some tribal organizations have been opposing it throughout the state.

CM Soren has also publicly criticized the central government and accused the present NDA government of splitting up and implementing the rule of in the states where the BJP could not form a government.

A living example of this is the method of recovery of DVC dues. He said that money was withdrawn from the Jharkhand government's account deposited with the RBI.

Appealing to other states Chief Minister Hemant Soren said:" Today it has happened to us, tomorrow will happen to you. That is why the time has come to unite and oppose the central government." He also said that mineral resources are being auctioned, but it was not even consulted with the state government.

Addressing the People's Union for Civil Liberties, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that in the current era, there are constant attacks on social organizations as well as constitutional institutions.

He said, "The country's economy has been stalled, the future of the youth is being played with. Efforts are being made to make farmers bonded laborers. There is a situation of anarchy in the country, so it is important that all opposition parties should unite. People of social organizations are raising their voice, but it is not having any effect on the central government."

The Chief Minister has expressed the apprehension that this government could also start firing to suppress the movement against the Center.

Human chain formes in protest

More than a dozen organizations formed a human chain in Palamu to protest against the arrest of Father Stand Swamy. The human chain was formed about one kilometer between Kachhri Chowk to Six Muhan.

People involved in the human chain took placards in hands and were protesting against the arrest of Stan by the NIA. The organizations were opposed to the UAPA Act, stating that the law was a black law and that the government is taking action against those who raise their voice.

The protestor also said the government is pressing public issues. Human chains were demanding the release of Father Stan Swamey, the withdrawal of the UAPA law, the release of jailed political and social workers, the right to food and the right to work.
