Jamshedpur (Jharkhand): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been calling BJP veterans to ask about their well-being during the coronavirus lockdown, leaving the leaders pleasantly surprised.

Jamshedpur's BJP veteran Mahesh Chandra Sharma, who received a call from Modi, said that it was a "very big thing" that the Prime Minister took out time from his busy schedule to catch up with him.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sharma said, "The Prime Minister called me up around 8 AM on Friday and inquired about my well-being. He also asked about the problems being faced by us amid lockdown. It was unprecedented and I was surprised."
