A woman in Jharkhand village was forced to carry her 16-year-old daughter on her shoulders as she reportedly had no money to arrange for a vehicle.

Gharwa (Jharkhand): A woman in Jharkhand village was forced to carry her 16-year-old daughter on her shoulders as she reportedly had no money to arrange for a vehicle.

Reportedly, the incident took place in Mahulia village in Jharkhand's Gharwa district. The video clip shows the woman carrying her daughter on the shoulders while struggling to handle the weight.

According to sources, one, Rinki Devi's daughter fell from a tree and fractured her leg. For her treatment, Rinki had been taking her daughter to the nearby government hospital and was subsequently referred to the district hospital in Gharwa.

She reportedly had no money to arrange for a vehicle. Following which Rinki carried her daughter on her shoulders to a private hospital, sources said.

“I took my daughter to the government hospital but they refused to treat her saying I should take her to a private hospital. I have walked several km carrying her because I had no money for arranging a vehicle. I don’t know how private hospitals operate. The private hospital has charged me Rs 2300 for my daughter's treatment,” said, Rinki Devi to ETV Bharat.
