Jharkhand: Union Tribal Minister conducted COVID-19 review meeting via video-conferencing

Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda on Wednesday conducted a video conferencing meet with various businessmen, social workers and religious leaders to review the condition of the state amid the spread novel coronavirus.

New Delhi: Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda and former Chief Minister of Jharkhand on Wednesday conducted a video conferencing meet with various businessmen, social workers and religious leaders to review the condition of the state amid novel coronavirus.

During the virtual interaction, many of the social workers demanded to open the Outpatient Department (OPD) of various government and private hospitals running in the state.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already directed us to ensure better healthcare facilities to everyone. Following the directions of PM Modi, we have also steered the health sector to equipped with basic facilities in order to run the health care system smoothly", said Munda.

Meanwhile, in order to overcome the losses during the lockdown period, some businessmen demanded relief in the electricity bill.

"The shops have not been opened since PM Modi announced a nationwide lockdown. We are facing a huge loss in the business. So, we need some relief in the electricity bill", said a businessman during the meeting.

However, the Tribal Minister does not respond positively to the businessman and overlooked the suggestion.

Later, Munda appreciated the efforts of the people and urged the people to follow the lockdown guidelines.
