Jharkhand: 48 school students fall sick during morning prayer

A team of doctors advised the Kedar middle school authorities to keep the students in isolation, who fell-sick during morning prayer on Thursday. Sources said that earlier the section of students of the school complained of severe stomach ache, body pain, cough and nausea and later, started vomiting in the premises during the morning prayer.

Garhwa: Chaos erupted in Kedar Middle school in Jharkhand's Gharwa district after nearly 48 students fell-sick during morning prayer on Thursday.

Sources said that earlier the section of students of the school complained of severe stomach ache, body pain, cough and nausea and later, started vomiting in the premises during the morning prayer.

According to reports, as soon as the principal of the school, Rajnath Ram, informed Block Development Office (BDO) about the situation, Medical Officer of Bhawanathpur, Dr. Dinesh Singh, Dr. Zafar Hussain, Dr. Nishank Nishram reached the school along with the medical team.

The ailing students were then examined by the team of doctors, who arrived at the school premises upon receiving information about the aforementioned issue by the school authorities.

"The infected students are advised to rest for a week and are recommended to be kept in isolation," said a doctor from the team that arrive to test the students.

"The doctors have asked the students to either put a handkerchief or mask while coughing. The students fell sick all of sudden and we didn't had knowledge about it," said Ram.
