Dumka (Jharkhand): The last rites of Constable Manjeet Kumar of the Indian Army, who laid down his life on duty at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir, were performed at his native Basukinath Nagar village in the Dumka district with full State honours on Monday night.
The martyr’s mortal remains, wrapped in Tri-colour reached Basukinath Nagar two days after his death. Hundreds of locals gathered at the village crematorium including Agriculture Minister of Jharkhand Badal Patralekh to pay their last respects to the son of the soil.
