Holy water from Subarnarekha, Kharkai rivers to be sent for Ram Temple 'bhoomi poojan'

Ahead of the construction of much-awaited Ram Temple, the holy water of Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers’ confluence along with the soil from all major shrines in Jharkhand will be sent to Ayodhya for the proposed 'Bhoomi poojan'. The event is scheduled to be held in the presence of PM Modi on August 5.

Jamshedpur: As the 'Bhoomi-poojan' for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya is proposed on August 5, the soil from major shrines in Jharkhand, as well as the water of Subarnarekha and Kharkai rivers’ confluence, will be sent to Ayodhya.

On Friday, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal jointly arranged an urn filled with five litres of holy water from the rivers along with one kilogram of soil from holy temples in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district amid chantings of mantras and blowing of the conch.

Before this, a pooja was also held at the bank of rivers to complete all the traditional rituals.

VHP district convener Avatar Singh stated the holy waters and soils will be collected till Saturday and on Sunday they will be transported to Ayodhya from Ranchi.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to attend the Bhoomi-poojan ritual of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
