Ranchi:Five wild deer were run over by a goods train in the buffer area of the Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) in Jharkhand on Monday, officials said.
According to the PTR officials, five deer, including a pregnant one, were mowed down by a speeding goods train near Kechki railway station. The new-born was also killed in the incident.

Three deer were dragged for 3 km on the track, officials added.
