Ranchi:Anassistant commandant lost his life in an encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand's Naxal-affected Latehar district on Monday.
Jharkhand Jaguar's deputy commandant Rajesh Kumar, who received bullet injuries, was airlifted to Ranchi where Doctors declared him brought dead.
Security forces have also neutralised a Maoist and recovered weapons including AK 47 from the spot. Jharkhand Police in a joint operation with Jharkhand Jaguar are conducting a search operation in the area.
Jharkhand Jaguars had an encounter with the Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad's squad while the security forces were on Long Rout patrolling in the forest located near Salaiya village.
