Ranchi (Jharkhand):TheHaradih Budhadih Bridge built over River Kanchi in Ranchi’s Tamar block collapsed due to the heavy rain caused by Cyclone Yaas on Thursday.
The bridge, connecting Tamad, Bundu and Sonahatu areas of Jharkhand, was constructed three years ago at a cost several crore rupees.

With the collapse of the bridge, questions have been raised about its build quality and illegal sand excavation around the bridge.
It is pertinent to note that three bridges have been collapsed so far, all built over a span of four years.
