Jammu:Amid reports of drone intrusions by Pakistan, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday conducted an awareness programme in a village near the International Border (IB).

One of the BSF officials said: "The awareness campaign is being conducted so that villagers can inform security forces if they spot a drone."

One of the residents present at the event said: "We have seen drones for the first time. If there is any drone in our area carrying drugs or weapons, we will immediately alert the authorities."

The Punjab Police had recently busted a terrorist module of revived Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), which was backed by a Pakistan and Germany based terror group that was conspiring to unleash a series of terror strikes in Punjab and its adjoining states.

Meanwhile, the Army and the BSF officials said that the troops and observation posts have been asked to maintain the highest possible vigil along the International Border (IB) and LoC in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch and Baramulla, Kupawara districts of the state.

Taking serious note of Pakistan using Chinese drones to airdrop weapons in Punjab, the Army and Border Security Force (BSF) have sounded an all-out alert along the entire Indo-Pak border and Line of Control (LoC) and have asked border-guarding troops and observation posts to keep a 'hawk's eye' over similar air-intrusions in future.
