Srinagar:National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah, PDP general secretary Ghulam Nabi Hanjura, PDP youth president Waheed Parra and Awami National Conference Vice President Muzaffar Shah arrived in Kargil as part of People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration to mobilise support from the people for restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

"It's not an anti-national jamat. Our aim is to ensure that the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are restored. That is our fight, it is not more than that. Their attempts of dividing us in the name of religion will fail. It is not a religious fight," Abdullah had told reporters here.
"People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration has been formed to ensure the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are restored," Abdullah said on October 24 while speaking to reporters after meeting of members of the People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, where he was chosen as president of the alliance, Mehbooba Mufti will be its vice-president.
Also, he had made repeated remarks in the past few weeks about his demands for revocation of Article 370 and 35A in the valley.
