Poonch (Jammu and Kashmir): Pakistan on Tuesday violated ceasefire by firing with small arms and shelling with mortars along the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur, Kirni and Qasba sectors in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The ceasefire violation took place at 10.30 am.
The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.
Earlier on November 7, Pakistan violated ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) in another sector of Poonch. Since the beginning of this year, 24 civilians have been killed and over 100 have been injured in more than 3,200 ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC.
Frequent shelling from across the LoC has resulted in insurmountable misery for thousands of residents living in the border villages along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.
