Kashmir: After being released from nearly 14 months of detention by the government last month, Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and People's Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Friday reached party office and addressed the party members.

Mufti reached party office under strict security arrangements and in sharp attacks against the Central government alleged it of being silent on China issue and said that instead of stopping China at the borders, the government is showing power on the people of Jammu and Kashmir by arresting their leaders.

She also said that the BJP government is looting them by abolishing Article 370.

"Article 370 was for the protection of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. By removing it, they are looting us. But, we will fight for our rights," Mufti said.

Mufti called on people of the newly formed Union Territory to come forward and take responsibility of making Jammu and Kashmir a prosperous state.

Terming the fight as a fight for rights, Mufi said, "We have to fight to get our rights. Please understand that it is not the fight of religion, but fight for the rights of Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs of the state."

She further accused the BJP of fiddling with the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir and said," when the BJP formed a government with us, it was cheap politics. Now Dogras won't be recognized."

Terming Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and chairman of Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Farooq Abdullah 'the most popular secular politician of the world' she Mufti said that by shouting slogans against him the BJP is trying to paint him as anti-national.

"I love Jammu and have spent too much time in Jammu. The BJP have bad intention to divide Hindus and Muslims here and that's why they want to impose the Tiranaga over my shoulders," she said.
