Motorcyclist shoots self to death in J&K's Ramban

A motorcyclist shot himself in the head, in front of a Block office in Ramban district on Saturday. The police have seized the pistol and placed the body in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Ramban:A motorcyclist committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol while he was on his way to Srinagar from Jammu on Saturday.

According to police, the deceased shot himself in the head, in front of a Block office in Ramban district.

After hearing the sound of gunfire, the locals informed the police and he was immediately taken to the District Hospital Ramban where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The police have seized the pistol and placed the body in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.

A case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been registered by the police.

The body will be handed over to the family only after the investigation is done, said the police.
