Srinagar:External Affairs Minister SJ Sankar arrived on Kashmir on Monday and met with a family of trapped students in Iran.
The Foreign Minister has arrived in Kashmir at a time when parents are appealing to the government to bring back students from Iran for fear of the Coronavirus.
Sources told ETV Bharat that Jaishankar met the parents of students trapped in Iran at the Kashmir International Conference Center on the banks of the Dal Lake in Srinagar.
Earlier, the Union Minister had said that efforts were being made for the return of Kashmiri students from Iran. He also said that the screening process had begun and discussions were underway with Iranian authorities in this regard.
