Police sources said Abrar and his associates were travelling in a car bearing the number JK 05E 5646 when police swooped on them at the National Highway Crossing at Primpora on the outskirts of Srinagar. Separately, police in Jammu averted a major terror attack and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED) on Sunday which was targeted at a crowded area by an operative of terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), police said. A suspect has been picked and more arrests are likely, according to reports. Earlier, a militant was arrested and explosive devices were seized from him, reports said.

This comes after two low-intensity blasts took place at the Jammu Air Force Station on Sunday.
