Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday issued an advisory, in view of a possible terrorist attack, to the langarorganizing committee along with the tourists and Amarnath pilgrims to curtail their stay in the valley immediately. The organizers were ordered to leave Jammu within two days. The advisory was not made public but was only sent to the organizers.

"We were staying here since June 29 and were serving till now the Amarnath pilgrims, however today the government ordered us to leave Jammu till 6 August. We are disappointed by the ultimatum given to us", said Dinesh Soni, one of the organizers from Kanpur district.

An elderly pilgrim, Sarvesh Kumar expressed displeasure in returning home without undertaking the spiritual journey.

With the Indian Army receiving 'confirmed intelligence inputs' over a possible terror attack in the Kashmir valley, specifically targeting the pilgrims on Amarnath Yatra, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir had issued a security advisory urging the people to return home 'as soon as possible'.

Besides, a significant number of pilgrims were seen in the railway stations and taxi stands as they were leaving for their hometowns.

DGCA has also urged all airlines to be prepared for additional flights to and from Srinagar at short notice to fly out tourists and Amarnath yatris from the valley.

On August 1, over 280 companies of security forces, mostly CRPF personnel, were deployed in vulnerable points in the city and other parts of the Kashmir valley.

All major entry and exit points of the city have been taken over by the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPFs) with a token presence of local police.
