The landslides, which were accompanied by shooting stones, forced the officials to stop the traffic in Panthal area, on the highway.
"Clearance operation is going on. Travellers are advised not to undertake journey before contacting our control rooms in Jammu and Srinagar," an official added.
The Ramban-Ramsoo road stretch has been posing serious challenges to the authorities as landslides and shooting stones in this sector have caused frequent blockades creating shortages of essentials in the landlocked Kashmir Valley.
