Srinagar: Kashmir has once again become the focus of shooting for Bollywood films as a film crew will be shooting for a web series for over four months.
The shooting for 'Kashmir - Enigma of Paradise', a 10 episode web series has begun in Srinagar and its director said that the film series will depict history and situation in Kashmir and how people had lived through the turmoil.
The series is directed by filmmaker Atul Agarwal and it has an interesting line of star cast which include Rajniesh Duggal, Inaamulhaq, Sajad Delafrooz, Ihana Dhillon, Akanksha Puri, Delbar Arya and Mahesh Balraj.
Top Bollywood actors like Naseer-ud-Din Shah, Paresh Rawal and Urvashi Rutela are also expected to arrive in Kashmir to play a few characters in the series.
Director Atul Agarwal said the film will depict a real and unique story of love and longing from Kashmir which has never been depicted earlier.
“Our web series will also have many historical references from Kashmir starting from 1920. It also will focus on the beautiful state and the stories woven around the people living in it,” he said.
“We have 200 crew members who will shoot this project in 120 days. I am very passionate about this project and look forward to starting shooting on it,” he said.
In the 80s many Bollywood films were filmed in the Valley. But due to turmoil since the 90s, the crews stopped coming to Kashmir, though few films were shot during this period.
