Ex-militant succumbs to gunshot injuries in JK

Former militant, Tanveer Ahmed Sufi of Kakpura Pulwama, lost his life 10 days after being shot in Pulwama. The former militant succumbed to his injuries at the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.

Srinagar:Ten days after being seriously injured by unidentified gunmen in Pulwama, a former militant succumbed to his injuries at the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar on Sunday.

According to sources, the former militant, Tanveer Ahmed Sufi of Kakpura Pulwama, lost his life at the SMHS hospital where he had been admitted for treatment since October 15 when he was critically injured in the attack.

A wave of mourning washed over Tanveer's native village Kakapura today as soon as his body was brought home. Tanveer was later laid to rest.

Police have already registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.
