Srinagar:At least three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and one Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel was injured in twin militant attacks in strife-torn Kashmir.
According to reports, three CRPF jawans were martyred in a militant attack at Kralgund area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, while the CISF jawan was injured in Srinagar grenade attack.
"At around 6:30 pm, militants attacked CRPF party of 92 bn (A Coy) deployed at Wangam area of Handwara's Qaziabad village in North Kashmir's Kupwara district, " Pankaj Singh, CRPF Spokesperson based in Srinagar told ETV Bharat.
He said, "During the attack, two jawans were killed on the spot while one succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital. One more jawan who received bullet injuries in the abdomen and leg is being under observation at the medical facility."
One unidentified body has also been recovered from the spot, officials said.
