Samba: The sixth Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) along with Jammu Police (जम्मू पुलिस) on Friday morning recovered two pistols, five magazines, 122 rds, and one silencer in a joint operation of the troops at Sarthian village (सार्थियन गांव) of Rajpura Police Station region in Samba.
"Around 6:30 am, the search team found a bag. The Bomb Squad (बम स्क्वाड) opened it found arms and ammunition in it. There are pistols, magazines, and ammunition. The search was done in a joint operation with JAKLI and Police," said Rajesh Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba.

The troops of the sixth JAKLI and Police searched the general area of Sarthian village this morning and found one gunny bag wrapped in the plastic tape, Inspector-General of Police, Jammu said in a tweet. On searching it, 02 pistols, 05 magazines, 122 rds. & one silencer were found in the packet, added the tweet by IGP Police Jammu Zone.
"Troops of 6th JAKLI & Police were searching the general area of Sarthian village of Rajpura PS Ghagwal in district #Samba this morning, one gunny bag wrapped in with plastic tape was found. On search,02 Pistols,05 Magazines,122 rds. & one silencer were found in the packet," said tweeted the IGP Jammu. Investigations have been started, said another tweet by the IGP Jammu.
