J&K: Security forces launch massive Cordon and Search Operation in Budgam

As per reports Army found some suspicious persons in the area and after being called they managed to escape. the Indian Army's 62 RR along with SOG and J&K police cordoned off the area including its nearby villages and launched a massive search operation.

Srinagar: Security forces launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Khag area of central Kashmir's Budgam district today. As per the police, militants also opened fire upon security forces.

The police in a statement said, "Militants fired upon the security forces while on an operational duty near village Lassipora Khag in which one civilian namely Bilal Ahmad Rather r/o Charihar received injury in the leg. The injured is stable and the area adjacent to the place of incident i.e Lachmanpora Beerwah is under cordon and search is going on."

The police added that the credentials of the injured person are being ascertained.

As per reports Army found some suspicious persons in the area and after being called they managed to escape.

Immediately after the incident, the Indian Army's 62 RR along with SOG and J&K police cordoned off the area including its nearby villages too. Forces have started a massive search in Drang forests too.

Massive search going on in the area and all the entry and exit points have been sealed by the security forces.
