Srinagar:Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu on Sunday appealed to the people of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday to take all precautionary measures and follow the SOPs issued by the Government to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
In a video recorded message, Lt Governor said," After a two-month-long lockdown, I have observed that the recovery rate of the corona patients in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has increased significantly. But in the last 15 days, the situation in several places in the UT is turning from bad to worse with the number of COVID19 infected cases. The COVID positive cases are soaring rapidly each day."
"In such a gloomy situation, I am appealing to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe 'social distancing', as it is the key to stop and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
