Srinagar:Four associates belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit have been arrested in Awantipora area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Tuesday.
"Acting on specific information security forces including the J&K police, Army's Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF in a joint operation laid a Naka near Awantipora crossing. During the course of checking four militant associates were arrested, a senior police official told ETV Bharat.
He said, "incriminating material was recovered from them which included JeM posters, cash, ammunition and explosive material. The four arrested persons have been identified as Shabir Ahmad Parray, Sheeraz Ahmad Dar, Shafat Ahmad Mir and Ishfaq Ahmad Shah."
