Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir):Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) Vice-President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday asked the Indian government to clarify its position on the Taliban.

Omar Abdullah asked the Indian government to clarify whether it considers the Taliban an extremist organization. Or how the Indian government views the Taliban.

"Either Taliban is a terror organization or not, please clarify to us how you see them. If they're a terror group why are you talking to them? If not, then will you (Centre) move to United Nations & have it delisted as a terror organisation? Make up your mind, " Abdullah asked.

Earlier, MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah had said that "the Taliban will definitely have an impact somewhere." Where it will fall now, how much it will fall on the United States, how much it will fall on Russia, how much it will fall on China - it is not known. He also said that it remains to be seen how much impact it will have on which country. Farooq Abdullah had expressed these views while talking to the media yesterday.

He also said that our (India) relations with any of our neighbours are not good. Whether it is Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka or Maldives or China.
