Srinagar:Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Sunday said that the party's J-K unit has urged the state administration to investigate the Lawaypora gunfight and find out whether any wrong has been committed.
"BJP has urged the J-K government to order an inquiry to find out whether any wrong has been committed in the Lawaypora gunfight," Koul said while talking to reporters on the sidelines of a party event in Srinagar.
BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul speaking to reporters He further said, "If there is any wrong, that will come to fore. Police have already stated that it was investigating the case. Let’s see what comes out."
Koul also slammed former minister Choudhary Lal Singh for his remarks on the abrogation of Article 370.
"Who is he? People have rejected him. No one should take him seriously. Even his wife lost the election," Koul said.
Speaking about the event organized for BJP workers, he said, "Under this programme, we have identified trainers, who would train the newly elected people at the district, block and panchayat level about the governance-related issues. Eight topics have come from the Centre for this training program."
Eight people have been already trained, who will, in turn, train almost 100 workers about governance-related issues,” he said, adding that 5000 workers will be trained in the first phase after which people would be trained at the district level. “Today we have set the ball rolling for training, he said."
