Shopian: Suspected militants hurled a grenade and opened fire on the security forces in Bonbazar area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
A senior Police officer told that militants lobbed a grenade and opened fire on the security forces.
However, no loss of life or injury has been reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been sealed to nab the attackers.
The incident happened even as the region was under high-security cover on the occasion of the first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 that had given special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
