New Delhi:A high alert has been sounded at Srinagar and Avantipora air base in Jammu and Kashmir after security forces recovered hand-drawn maps of these air bases from terrorists, government sources said on Friday.
"Hand drawn maps of the Srinagar and Avantipur air bases have been recovered from terrorists by the security forces after which a high alert has been sounded there," government sources told media.
The security forces had recovered these maps from terrorists yesterday.
These bases have been at the target of terrorists for a long time but threat perception has enhanced significantly after the Balakot airstrikes, they said.
The sources further stated that the terrorists are planning to carry out attacks in Srinagar and Awantipora air bases.
