The security forces have killed one terrorist in the ongoing encounter in Arreh Mohanpora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district. The identity of the terrorist is not known as of yet. The operation is going on.
The encounter ensued after the terrorists fired upon the security forces conducting a search operation in the area.

Encounter breaks out in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam
Srinagar: An unidentified militant was killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, police said.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Arrah area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir following specific information about the presence of militants in the area, a police official said.
He said as the forces were conducting the searches in the area, militants fired upon them. The forces retaliated, resulting in an encounter, the official said.
The exchange of firing was going on and further details were awaited when the last report came in.
Earlier this week, an unidentified militant was killed and one CRPF jawan martyred in a major encounter between terrorists and security forces that broke out at Malbagh area of Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar.
The encounter took place at Malbagh, a locality near Hazratbal shrine, when security forces, acting on an intelligence input, started a cordon and search operation.
In the incident, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Head Constable of 118 Battalion, Kuldeep Kumar Urawan, hailing from Jharkhand's Shahebganj was martyred.
