As many as three Central Reserve Police Force jawans were injured in a grenade attack by militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district.

Srinagar: Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured on Friday when suspected militants hurled a grenade on the paramilitary force camp at Dooniwari area in Chadoora of central Kashmir's Budgam district.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, CRPF Spokesperson Pankaj Singh said that the three personnel of the 29 battalion were injured when the explosive lobbed by the militants exploded outside the camp at around 6:30 pm.  

He said that the injured received minor injuries and were given first aid at the camp.

The injured trio has been identified as Inspector Mayesh Chand, constable G Prakesh Rao and constable K Sirnu.

It is to be noted that the Police and security forces have cordoned off the area to nab the militants responsible for the act. However, no militant outfit has owned responsibility so far.
