Former BJP minister, five others booked in land encroachment case

A BJP leader was booked along with five others in a land encroachment case in Jammu and Kashmir. Accused Chandra Prakash Ganga handled the industries ministry in PDP-BJP government in the union territory.

Srinagar: An FIR has been registered against six people including Jammu and Kashmir BJP minister Chandra Prakash Ganga over accusation of encroaching land in Samba district here.

The FIR was registered on the basis of a complainant filed by Satish Sharma at the Vijaypur Police station. The land under discussion reportedly costs crores of rupees.

In his complaint, Sharma accused them of destroying the fencing of his land in the Vijaypur tehsil and encroaching the property.

A case has been registered under sections 447, 427, 378, 506, 34 of the IPC.

Chandra Prakash Ganga handled the Industries Ministry in the PDP-BJP government in the union territory.
