Gulmarg (Jammu Kashmir):Sipping a hot drink while sitting inside an Igloo with the temperatures dipping to 5 degrees is an experience of a lifetime which one can have at Asia's largest and India's first 'Igloo Café' in Gulmarg.
The brainchild of Waseem Shah, owner of Kolhai Green Heights in Gulmarg, the Igloo Café can host at least 16 guests at a time with a complete 'igloo menu' which includes different delicacies and beverages. From tables to chairs, everything inside is made of ice.
According to Waseem Shah, the idea came to his mind when he saw such igloos in foreign countries and thought to establish a similar one in Kashmir as well.
With traditional decor which includes the samovar (traditional teapot), every snow slab has been covered with sheepskin in order to provide warmth and comfort to the guests.
