Home Minister Amit Shah may visit Jammu & Kashmir this month

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir provinces from October 23 to 25 as part of the 'mega outreach programme'. During the visit, he will review the law and order situation and ongoing development work in the Union Territory.

Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah may visit Jammu and Kashmir in the month-end during which he will review the progress of development, and law and order situation in the Union Territory. This will be Amit Shah's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.

According to reports, Amit Shah will visit Jammu and Kashmir provinces from October 23 to 25 and will review the law and order situation with the security agencies and progress of ongoing development projects with senior officials. Besides, Amit Shah will visit remote areas in the Kashmir Valley and Jammu province.

It may be recalled that the Union Ministers have been visiting Jammu and Kashmir for the past few weeks, during which they have been visiting various areas to inspect construction and development work as part of an Outreach Programme.

The central government has sent 70 ministers to Jammu and Kashmir under the mega outreach programme. Home Minister Amit Shah will be the latest to visit the the valley under this programme.
