Shimla: In order to fight the coronavirus infection, social activist Sachin Dongar has pledged to distribute masks and sanitizers to corona-warriors across the state.
Masks and sanitizers worth one million have been distributed so far to other employees along with the state police personnel.
Social worker distributes masks and sanitizers for free in Shimla On Tuesday, Sachin Dongar handed over 12 thousand masks and 1100 sanitizers to the municipal commissioner.
Dongar said that the cleaning workers and sweepers have been playing an important rule during the time of the crisis.
"The safety of these personnel is very important. For this, masks and sanitizers were given to the municipal corporation, so that these workers can also be protected from the coronavirus," said Dongar.
Apart from this, he said that he is sending masks to the Commissioner of the Corporation and the panchayats as well.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pankaj Rai told that in these difficult times, many people are coming forward to help.
"There are 1100 cleaners in the city. The Municipal Corporation is providing other essential goods including masks to them. The list of people like Sachin who are helping is very long. These people are engaged in serving people without any selfishness," told Rai.
