Himachal Pradesh: 16-yr-old spreads awareness on COVID-19 on 'Hello Moginand'

ETV Bharat interacted with a 16-year-old girl Saloni, from Himachal Pradesh who has taken the initiative to make people aware on COVID-19 disease on 'Hello Moginand'. This radio show is being heard in 19 countries, including Bangladesh and Afghanistan, apart from India.

Nahan (Himachal Pradesh): Saloni Singh, a 16-year-old radio jockey - the youngest one in Himachal Pradesh - is making the general public aware of the coronavirus disease by providing all the latest updates on the global pandemic through 'Hello Moginand' - radio show hosted by her.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Saloni Singh, a school student and a radio jockey, said that she is trying to save her country from the coronavirus by making people aware about it, so that people can stay safe.

Apart from reading the script out to the public, this young artist is also editing her own show under the guidance of Dr Sanjeev Atri, a science teacher at her school.

Atri said that they broadcast three to four bulletins every day through the community radio.

This radio show is being heard in 19 countries, including Bangladesh and Afghanistan, apart from India.

The number of listeners of this unique radio show is also steadily increasing with as many as 4,340 listeners from three countries tuning into the show in the month of April alone.
