No government paid any heed to this site. According to the information, this popular cave is located at the foot of the city.

The cave is still safe here

Actually, the old city of Bilaspur has completely sunk in the Gobind Sagar lake, but the cave is still safe here. This cave is considered a religious place. It is worth mentioning that the Tapobhumi Vyas cave of Maharishi Veda Vyas, the creator of Mahabharata with four Vedas, 18 texts and 36 Upanishads is a historical place. It is believed that this has been a place where many important Vedic events have taken place.

No effective steps have been taken so far for renovation

This temple has been brought under trust by the Congress, but despite this, no effective steps have been taken so far for the restoration of Vyas Cave. When Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh came to know the entire history of this place, he constituted Vyas Nagar Committee and Vyas Raktadata Committee, instructed DC Bilaspur to prepare a report and send it to him, but after that, no government could revive it till today.

Four Vedas, 18 texts and 36 Upanishads were written in Bilaspur

Vyas ji became famous by the name of Ved Vyas because of the division of Vedas. The sage Ved Vyas taught the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda to his disciple's Pal, Jaimin, Vaishampayan and Sumanthamuni respectively. The Ved Vyas composed the Puranas in the form of the fifth Veda, in which the knowledge of the Vedas is told as interesting stories due to the very deep and dry knowledge contained in the Veda.
