Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh): Increasing population and lack of land is a widespread problem in cities. Utilizing every inch of land in the construction of a house is nothing short of a challenge. It is important to build rooms, halls, kitchens, dining rooms and washrooms in the construction of the house.
How to make all of these in a fixed measure and their length and breadth has to be given special attention. To tackle the challenge of the space, Sudiksha Thakur (13), a student of class VII of Hamirpur district, has perfected the concept of the smart washroom.
Both Indian and Western restrooms in smart washrooms
In this model, special care has also been taken for cleanliness along with options. The Indian toilet seat is considered more hygienic than the Western toilet seat. In such a situation, the importance of this smart bathroom increases further as both options are present in it.
Sudiksha Thakur has been selected for this model at the national level under the Inspire Standards Scheme. Sudiksha is a student of class VII in a private school and her father Sanjeev Thakur is a teacher in a government school.
