Haryana man orders smartphone, gets biscuits

A case of online fraud has come to light when a young man from Kalsia named Harpreet Singh ordered a mobile phone worth Rs 11000 from online shopping website, but instead of a mobile phone, received three packets of biscuits.

Yamunanagar:A man from Kot Kalsia, Haryana allegedly received three packets of biscuits in a box instead of smartphone that he actually ordered on an e-commerce site.

Harpreet Singh said,'' I ordered a mobile phone worth Rs 11,000 from an online shopping website. I got the parcel 2 days later, but when I opened the parcel, I saw that there were three packets of biscuits instead of the phone.''

He immediately called the online website's toll-free number but did not get any satisfactory answer.

After not getting a response from the online website, the youth reported the matter to the police.

A case has been registered by the police. Further investigation is underway.
