Sirsa (Haryana): The Corona induced lockdown has turned almost every life upside down. Students are no exception to this common phenomenon. Both the means and the method of study, have changed in these perilous times. Schools are closed and studies are at a stop. On the other hand the parents of children are troubled by the lack of labourers for harvest. In such condition students are now mixing studies with harvest and taking responsibility for both education and harvest.
When the ETV Bharat went to examine the ground status it found that the Bakriayawali village in Sirsa district had some students completing the work of harvest amidst studies. On further conversation it emerged that due to non availability of labour they are helping their families in completing the harvest and on getting time the students complete their studies. Further due to ‘online’ and ‘mobile’ education they get their teacher’s help, and complete studies in the fields itself.
